How far in advance do I need to book event WiFi?

As early as possible — especially for summer events when demand is highest. For large events (1,000+ visitors), we recommend contacting us at least 8-10 weeks in advance to allow time for a site assessment and network design. Smaller events can sometimes be accommodated with less notice, but we cannot guarantee availability. Contact us as soon as your event date is confirmed.

What if there is no fixed broadband at the venue?

This is the norm for most outdoor events — and it is not a problem. We use 4G bonding, 5G or Starlink satellite broadband as the backhaul for the event network, which means we are not reliant on the venue having a fixed-line connection. As long as there is adequate mobile signal or a clear sky, we can deliver a fast internet connection.

Can you provide separate WiFi networks for traders and visitors?

Yes — and we recommend it. Trader and exhibitor WiFi is typically kept separate from public visitor WiFi to ensure that card payment systems, booking platforms and business-critical applications are not competing for bandwidth with visitor browsing. We can create as many separate networks as your event requires, each with its own capacity allocation.

What happens if the WiFi goes down during the event?

For larger events, we recommend on-site engineer support throughout the day. Our engineer monitors the network in real time and can resolve most issues immediately. For smaller events, we provide a direct support number and can often diagnose and resolve issues remotely. Our planning process is designed to minimise the risk of failure — but we also plan for contingency.
