Yes, always — and it is free with no obligation. We will not quote for or install a commercial WiFi network without first visiting your site. A proper survey lets us assess coverage requirements, identify potential interference sources, plan cabling routes and specify the right equipment. Floor-area-based online quotes are not something we offer, because they routinely produce undersized systems that fail under real-world load.

Yes. Outdoor coverage is a core part of our work — particularly for holiday parks, events and agricultural clients. We use outdoor-rated access points on poles, buildings and custom mounts. Coverage is planned per pitch or per zone during the survey, and we carry out an outdoor walk-test after installation before signing off on the network.

Managed WiFi means Dragon WiFi take ongoing responsibility for your network after installation — monitoring, maintenance, firmware updates and direct support. For any commercial, hospitality or holiday park operation, managed WiFi is strongly recommended. A network that is not actively maintained will degrade over time: firmware vulnerabilities accumulate, access points fail silently, and capacity issues go unaddressed until guests start complaining. We proactively address these before they become problems.

Yes. VLAN-separated guest and staff networks are configured as standard on all our commercial installations. Guests access the internet through an isolated network that cannot reach your internal systems, POS infrastructure or management tools. Staff and operational devices sit on a separate VLAN with appropriate access. Both are managed through the same controller platform.

If you are on our managed service, we will usually know about a fault before you do — our monitoring platform alerts us when access points go offline or performance drops below expected thresholds. We then diagnose remotely and, where a site visit is required, dispatch an engineer. If you call us, you reach the team who built your system directly — not a support desk reading from a script.

Possibly. This depends on the equipment installed and its condition. We will assess your existing infrastructure during the survey and give an honest opinion on what is worth retaining and what should be replaced. We do not recommend ripping out working infrastructure for the sake of it — but we will be direct if something is not fit for commercial use.
